devineDiY

Weighted blankets and vests have been shown to be effective in calming children with Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. The 32″ x 17″ blanket shown was made for less than $15 using an old pillow case and poly pellets purchased from a local craft store.

  1. I just got a sewing machine for Christmas so I could make my son a weighted lap pad as his blanket was great for home, but not so much for traveling.. I think I found a new hobby of making these! I had to go on a fabric shopping trip.Hopefully with more experience, it will become less time consuming.. lol..
